Xiangtan Hi-tech Zone,founded in 1992,was officially upgraded to a national Hi-tech Zone in 2009.

Located in the mid-east part of Hunan province and at the side of Xiangjiang River, Xiangtan Hi-tech Zone is the center of economic corridor of Hunan province and one important part of regional economic integration of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan. It is also a demonstration model base of national new material science & technology transferring and industrialization.
